Canted angle- Camera is tilted to suggest imbalance, transition and instability (very popular in horror movies). This technique is used to suggest POINT-OF-View shots (ie when the camera becomes the 'eyes' of one particular character,seeing what they see) a hand held camera is often used for this. |
Low angle- Shot anywhere below the eyeline. Used to make the object/figure look imposing. Makes audience feel vunerable |
High angle- When the camera is located above the eyeline, looking down on the subject. Can be used to make the figure or object seem vunerable or powerless. More dramatic |
